Social Studies

Social Studies Alive! and History Alive! is the core social studies curriculum used at The Arts & Technology Academy. Social Studies Alive! is taught in kindergarten through fourth grade and History Alive! is taught in fifth grade and above. Both programs contain a series of curricular materials which enable students with diverse learning styles to "experience" social studies. The expected outcomes from the use of these programs is for students to be better prepared to enter middle and high school; improved reading comprehension, writing ability, and higher order thinking skills.
